FROM: SR. MARY ESTHER- Secretary

SR. MARY JOSEPH- Administrator

INTRODUCTION

The school opened officially on 8th January and was closed on 29th March 2024.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • On the reopening of the school, we were glad to get the school shinning due to the renovations done during the December holiday. The Principal and the entire staff were very grateful for the good work done. This not being enough the Administration block was improved through the providence of some infrastructures including comfortable chairs for teachers, cubed table with drawers for the directing teachers in various fields, windows well curtained and many more.
  • Early this term we were able to receive new teachers; Madam Joan, Madam Vera, Mr. Ndege Walter as a volunteer, Mr. Morara Dennis, who replaced those who did not manage to come back after December Holiday.
  • We thank the school director for the three new teachers ( Mr. Kosome, Mr.Wasilwa, Dr.Winda) who have been of great importance to the school and have played a big role. Through them most of the students have changed their attitude towards Chemistry, Mathematics and English subjects. Acting as example they have motivated other teaching staff members and this has increased their commitment to teaching.
  • All parents in their various forms were able to get a chance and come to school to discuss on the progress of their children together with the respective teachers as per subject, this motivated the students to pull up their socks.
  • There is time allocated for group discussion of the students under the supervision of teachers.
  • On the side of time management there has been a great improvement to an extended that morning preps time is covered by a lesson and this will be of great importance on syllabus coverage.
  • Computer studies project and Agriculture projects for KNEC exams are on and progressing well.

CHALLENGES

  • Poor communication. This is between teachers and administration, whereby in case of any need the teachers are coming at last moments where the provision cannot be made in terms of finance.
  • Parents and administration especially concerning the school fees payment. When the students are sent back home for the school fee there is lack of communication and the student might be away for almost two weeks. This is the main cause of absenteeism in school which after discussing with the parents we are hoping for a change come next term.
  • Low level of discipline especially with the students.
  • Lack of teamwork in the school in all dimensions.
  • Transfer of students has increased.

CONCLUSION

  • On behalf of all the staff of the school, I would like to recognize and appreciate the efforts to support the school put in by the school director, Rev. Fr. Cosmas Rhagot. We cannot express our thanksgiving enough but pray that the Lord may keep, protect and always strengthen you.

On our side we promise to do better come next term.
